Auto racing: Kenseth, Stewart back at MIS in 2008
Former NASCAR champions Matt Kenseth and Tony Stewart will return to Madison International Speedway for a third straight summer in 2008, and they're rumored to be bringing a friend.
Matt Kenseth, a Cambridge native, and Tony Stewart will compete in the All-Star Challenge event, which is scheduled for June 24 at the Town of Rutland track. Matt Kenseth won the 2007 event.
Additionally, race promoter Roy Kenseth -- Matt's father -- said he has asked his son to recruit another NASCAR driver to race. An announcement is expected soon.
Also competing that day will be Matt's son Ross, who made his MIS debut last summer.
Tickets are $20 for adult general admission ($10 for fans 10 and under). A limited number of pit passes are available for $50, and fans can purchase a VIP pass for $125, which includes reserved seating, pit pass, hospitality tent, and an autograph and interview session with Matt Kenseth and Tony Stewart.
